Direct to Film Vs DTG
A common question we get is what does direct to film transfer mean. Direct To Film Transfers are taking the garment decoration industry by storm. Unlike Direct to Garment printing, no pretreatment is required. DTF involves printing a design onto a special type of film. This process begins with a DTF printer, which prints the design onto the film. After printing, an adhesive powder is applied and then cured to create a bond. These “direct to film transfers” are then ready to be applied to the garment using a heat press. This method is highly versatile, allowing for the application on a wide variety of fabrics, including those challenging for DTG, and is excellent for producing vibrant, durable prints.
